The family-owned company Sedlická strojírna s.r.o. is engaged in the complete production of entire technologies, transport and single-purpose machinery, crushing, sorting, waste processing and custom production.
The entire production process takes place in Sedlice near Blatná. From the meeting with the customer, the design of the equipment, production documentation, technology, entire engineering production, painting, assembly, demonstration of the machine’s functionality to handover and subsequent servicing by our own fitters.
The company has 50 employees, most of whom are skilled welders and machinists. We control quality by means of an internal ISO 9001 system and manage production processes by means of an ERP/MES system.
History
The history of the company dates back to 1951. It was established from the original small workshop of the Strakonice Forestry Plant and subsequently the Development Center 73 (Forestry Technology Plant – ZLT) within the South Bohemian State Forests enterprise. Between 1981 and 1984, industrial production halls with a total production area of 18×75 and 18×50 meters with gantry cranes and an administrative building were built. The machinery equipment was purchased mainly from the then world-famous ČZM Strakonice. On behalf of the investor the whole construction was supervised and managed by Václav Říha “the eldest one” (*1941 †2011). Already at that time, the company was producing and servicing machinery for all forest plants in the South Bohemian Region.
Since 1992, as part of the privatization of Czech companies, the company was transformed into “Strojírna Sedlice a.s.” and after 25 years, in 2017, the “privatization” process was completed. Ing. Václav Říha (*1966) became the sole owner. Since 2004, the company has been present on the domestic and especially foreign market as Sedlická strojírna. In its activities, the company has built on a long tradition of manufacturing modern and unique equipment for the timber industry, waste processing industry, transport and single-purpose machinery. The fact that we are not one of the large companies is rather an advantage, because we are able to react quickly and promptly to the most demanding requirements of the market and our customers.
Over the entire period of the company’s existence, more than sixty different sized and mechanized woodworking plants and waste processing technologies as well as hundreds of transport equipment of all types and forms have been built. In the last 30 years, the manufactured technology has been exported abroad. For example, to Austria, Germany, Sweden, England, Poland, Russia, Romania, Ireland, Bulgaria, Belgium, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Ukraine, Hungary, etc.
